I'm Xochitl (So-chill) and I am thrilled to share a connection with you!

Xochitl Rodriguez, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience in private practice, where her passion for mental health awareness and education shines through in every project she undertakes. Known for her engaging and accessible approach, Xochitl has delivered impactful presentations on mental health topics both in person and virtually, skillfully adapting her style to resonate with diverse audiences and meet them where they are.

 

Beyond private practice, Xochitl has managed mental health support services for a community-based mental health agency, ensuring that client assessments and services were carefully aligned with each individual’s needs and treatment plans. She also spearheaded the development of a specialized mental health program for youth in the juvenile justice system, extending crucial support to an underserved population. Additionally, Xochitl designed a parenting program specifically for parents of teens, providing them with valuable tools and guidance to navigate the unique challenges of raising adolescents.

 

Her extensive background includes a pivotal role as a forensic interviewer at the Children’s Assessment Center, where she provided essential guidance in highly sensitive cases, helping children and families navigate complex situations. With a decade of experience as an educator and school counselor, Xochitl brings a comprehensive understanding of the mental health landscape, recognizing both the complexities and solutions that foster well-being. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she also hosts a podcast dedicated to breaking the stigma of mental health across communities, with a particular effort on engaging and supporting the Hispanic community, sharing her compassionate and insightful perspective with listeners everywhere.
